A word from the Youth Director,
At the Family Worship Center, we have an awesome youth group, called REFUGE (7th grade and up). We meet every other Wednesday night in the "Secret Place" for ministry, fellowship, and worship, along with food and fun. Our Pastor had encouraged the church to read Psalm 91 every day and from that passage we found our youth name from the passage of King David…”He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him will I trust”. We offer many opportunities of ministry for the youth…sign team, praise and drama teams, servant-hood, mentoring, helping in the nursery, toddler time and children’s church. We also have scheduled trips for the youth throughout the year.

As the Youth Director of the FWC, I have a vision to lead our youth to a greater walk with God. It is my desire and goal to be a teacher, encourager, mentor, God-fearing, and God-lead vessel. I believe that we must encourage our youth to grow in their walk with God and to “Feed” them the word of God while they are young…”that they will not depart”!

Mike and Sharon McWilliams have been married since 1979. Sharon taught youth Sunday School classes for over 14 years and served as a youth leader for four years before coming to the Family Worship Center in 2001. In the year 2003 Sharon became the Youth Director for the FWC. Both Mike and Sharon have two daughters named Jordan and Hannah.
