A word from the Nursery and Toddler Time Director,
While attending the Family Worship Center for only about six months, I felt God leading me to develop a nursery department in the church. At the time our church was in a development stage in which we were growing but had some departments not organized.
With a vision for a nursery we began to establish a providing and loving environment for all children. That vision is still a part of us today. Due to the overwhelming growth and response in our church we have been able to assign a number to each child. This enables the nursery to page the child’s parent in case they are needed. The mother or father can see this number in the sanctuary. The monitor can be seen on stage without disturbing the Pastor, musicians, or singers.
The nursery is equipped with changing tables, baby beds, walkers, TV, VCR, and many toys. The nursery is under the attention of volunteers that have been assigned for certain services. The volunteers can also watch the service on a monitor that is placed with the nursery so that no one misses the message of Christ. This service would not be possible without the help of all our volunteers.
With the large number of children that has came to the FWC we out grew out nursery and started another class to which we titled “Toddler Time”. This is a special class for the ages of 3-4 year olds. Toddler Time was established to provide a learning center for the basic Bible stories. The room for Toddler Time also has a monitor system to help notify parents of special needs. Like the nursery volunteers teach the children each Sunday during the services.
