Pastoral care is the birth of a new department, geared toward public relations. The purpose of this ministry is better communication. Those serving in the pastoral care department will serve somewhat like a greeter, but yet pastoral care goes beyond that of a greeter. It goes beyond that of an usher. Pastoral care will help in two ways. One: To help the pastor in the area of communication with the congregation. Two: To help the congregation in the area of communication with the pastor. Pastoral care is what some would call the help ministries of the local church.

1 Cor 12:28
28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, (helps), governments, diversities of tongues. (KJV)

Objective:

Pastoral care is a help ministry gear to help the pastor and the congregation in communicating information that can be helpful to the congregation and to the pastor. To answer any questions that a visitor may have while visiting our services. To direct you in the right direction concerning any needs you might have in any particular service. To assist you in any ministry of the church that might be helpful to you. To assist you in any prayer request you might have for the prayer team to pray over. To assist you in the information that we need concerning hospital visits. To communicate to the pastor any information that might be helpful, so that I can better serve you. To help the pastor in getting to know who is who in the congregation, getting names and contact numbers that will help me in following up on visitors, that no one will come in here unnoticed.
