Through the spiritual guidance and devoted leadership of Pastor DeHart the Family Worship Center is moving towards the 21st century with a simple, yet bold message of Jesus Christ.
A word from the Pastor,
It is my goal as the pastor of the Family Worship Center to teach people how to find applications in the Word of God. In turn this will help them in every day life, in order to teach people who they are in Christ Jesus. To teach people how to live in the fullness of Christ and how to live the blessed life of every Christian. It is my goal as pastor to teach people how to find their place in the body of Christ. In 1 Cor 12:12-18 Paul used the concept of the human body to teach us how Christians should live and work together. Through this passage Paul teaches us how each part of the body is to function under the direction of the head, which is Jesus Christ. It is our goal to teach the body of Christ the concept of ministry, in which the body is to edify and to serve others. We will teach the body of Christ, that every believer has a unique place. We will encourage and instruct the body on how to effectively minister to others. It is our goal to teach the body that they may understand that ministry is a part of the local Church. Ministry is about the laity, the people of God who make up the membership of a local church. Ministry is not about a program. It is however about people! It is my goal to teach the body the importance of the local church, because I believe that it is impossible to serve God and not be involved in the local church. We should never separate ourselves from the church, because we need the covering of the church. We need the fellowship and the accountability of the church.
In 1 Cor 12:12-22 Paul used the analogy of the body by emphasizing the
importance of each member of the body. He teaches us that if one part is taken
away, the whole body becomes less effective. Ministry is not just a pulpit or an office. Ministry is every day people serving in the body of Christ. God has placed within the church gifts for the purpose of building up and edifying the body. These gifts and abilities are given so that the church can minister more effectively. I believe that the concept of ministry is something that needs to be restored to the church. Several years ago I heard about a business that put a sign on its door that said these words. “Gone out of business, didn’t know what our business was.” It is our goal and my desire to teach the body of Christ what the business of the church is, so that this sign can never be put on the church of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Our objective is found in our name itself. The ministries of the Family Worship Center are focused and “Believing in the Family of God”. I have often said, if we win the whole world and lose our family what have we gained? I believe that ministry begins in the home. So our objective is to have a center where all ages of the family can come and be ministered to. We are a Family Worship Center, meaning that we believe in FAMILY, WORSHIP, and the CENTER, of all things according to the Word of God.
