A word from the Children’s Church Director,

The vision for our Children's Church Ministry is:

• 1st-to teach the children the Gospel of Christ
• 2nd-to make children understand how important they are to Christ and our church.
• 3rd-to show every child that they belong to a special family-The Family of God.
• 4th-to not only grow in Children's Church as members but to grow in Christ as well.
• 5th-to make children feel loved and protected by a church family who cares and by a God who will never leave them, nor forsake them.
• 6th-to reach children in our community as well as the world.
• 7th-to teach them that church is not only a place to learn about God, but to have fun by having fellowship with one another.
• 8th-to make the adults aware of how vital a role our children play in the future of our church.
• 9th-to love one another no matter what race, creed, financial background, or social status…just as Christ loves us.
• 10th-to have fun.

Kerry and Shirl Monroe have been married since 1997. Before attending the Family Worship Center, both were active members of the Fort Payne Christian Center. After the Christian Center they came to the Family Worship Center in April of 2001. That same year in the fall Shirl would become the Children’s Church director. This past year Kerry stepped into the role of Head Usher for the Church. Both Kerry and Shirl now have been in the ministry for over six years. [
